The newest “fat burner,” coffee-bean supplements, have hit the market, but do they help you lose weight?

Well from a research perspective, the coffee bean supplements from the extract of unroasted or “green” coffee beans may aid in weight loss for obese or overweight patients, possibly due to its chlorogenic acid, an antioxidant that may play a role in glucose and fat metabolism.

But, the studies have been small and of limited quality, so it’s hard to draw meaningful conclusions from them.  Like all supplements,Life Extension Green Coffee Extract 400mg, Veggie Caps unroasted coffee extract has not been evaluated for efficacy or safety by the FDA.

From a tested and true perspective, in recent tests of eight green coffee-bean supplements by Consumer Lab, four did not contain the expected amount of extract and one had no detectable extract at all.

One product that did pass is Life Extension Green Coffee Extract 400mg, Veggie Caps.
